Katakana Yatai is a mobile playing station which delivers the history of Katakana with small portion of Japanese culture. This playing station provides Fishing game and Sushi making using the fragmented chinese words and Katakana.
History
Katakana was created around AD 8th century when Buddism was delivered to Japan. Japanese monks fragmented components of Chinese character Kanji in order to make it simple as well as readable for them. For example, originally one Chinese word “江”(kou). The components were devided into two pieces. (氵) (工) And “工”(e) became Katakana but “氵 ”was discarded as the script. In other word, Chinese words are composed as if man & women couple, but, on the process of Katakana making, components were separated and detached each other over the many years. Katakana Yatai give them a chance to meet each other on the Sushi plate.
